International Adoption Director

Agape is a small, faith-based agency ministering to the needs of children, families, and women through adoption, foster care and unplanned pregnancy counseling. The agency is currently expanding into international adoption.
Job Description:
The International Adoption Director will be responsible for spearheading the creation of Agape?s International Adoption Program and implementing the necessary steps to insure a quality, Spirit-led program that is energized to grow in response to the needs of children and families. The IAD will answer to the Executive Director and work closely with the Leadership Team to evaluate and implement the agency?s vision for the International Adoption Program.
Job Qualifications:
The International Adoption Director should have strong, permanency-planning, child welfare experience with international adoption experience highly desired. LCSW preferred; LGSW or LBSW with great experience will be considered. The IAD should be a self-motivated creative thinker, a vision-oriented worker, and a prayerful leader who agrees with the agency?s Statement of Affirmation. This person will supervise other social workers as the program grows.
Responsibilities:
Assist the ED with licensure and accreditation requirements for selected countries on behalf of the organization; ensures all agency processes and procedures meet Hague standards and country requirements;
Create and communicate policy and procedures for IA processes, provides clinical support to IA social workers;
Manage program resources to ensure budget is used efficiently and appropriately;
Complete monthly reports to monitor development of program and evaluate needs;
Successfully complete CE hrs as required by Hague;
Recruit and screen adoptive applicants;
Perform home studies, updates and post-placement reports for adoptive families;
Create pre-placement training and post-placement support programs for adoptive families;
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the ED.

Communications Coordinator

Job Description:
The Communications Coordinator supports communications efforts on behalf of Agape of Central Alabama through public interaction, publications and social media as directed by the Director of Operations. The CC also assists the Director of Operations with event planning and projects throughout the year.
Job Qualifications:
The Communications Coordinator should hold a bachelor?s degree in an appropriate area and have some experience working in a communication/public relations setting. This professional must be a team player with excellent organizational, communication, graphic design and writing skills. The CC should be a self-motivator and think creatively about how to effectively communicate Agape?s mission to as many people as possible. Experience in design applications preferred.
